Coldplay set a record for the largest stadium concert of the 21st century. More than 223,000 fans attended their last concert in Ahmedabad India. They also performed in two shows before Ahmedad and in this last show, fan numbers surpassed George Strait’s previous record. Coldplay was organized in the three shows in Mumbai before Ahmedadb.
Now this is a record. They hold the record for the largest-ever stadium concert of the 21st century. Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India fills up with a huge fan and audiences.
This was marked as Coldplay’s first time performance in India. Over the weekend of January 25-26, the band played to 111,581 fans on the first night and 111,989 fans on the second night.

This also narrowly suppresses the previous record held by the George Strait. This performance caught the attention of the 10,905 fans at Kyle Field in Texas A&M in June.
Coldplay ended its last concert in India as part of the ongoing “Music of the Spheres World Tour”. They thanked their fans for such love and kindness in the last two weeks. Comprising Chris Martin, Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, and Will Champion’s India tour was successful they performed in three shows before heading to Ahmedabad.
Coldplay is known for its popular songs like “Hymn for the Weekend”, “The Scientist”, “Clocks”, “Yellow” and “Speed of Sound”. They first performed in 2016 at the Global citizen festival in Mumbai.
Martin also wished Indian citizens the 76th Republic Day on Sunday by singing AR Rahman’s popular patriotic song “Maa Tujhe Salaaam.” They said this performance was more like a dream come true type of experience for them. Many celebrities like Suhana Khan, Shreya Ghoshal, Kartik Aaryan, Vijay Varma, Kajal Aggarwal, and former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, also attended Coldplay’s live concerts in the last two weeks.
There is also a special moment during his concert.Chris dedicated a beautiful song to the Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah. Martin also admitted that he didn’t like him for “destroy” the English batting lineup with his spirited bowling. He said
“O Jasprit Bumrah, my beautiful brother. The best bowler in the whole of cricket. We did not enjoy watching you destroy England, wicket after wicket,”.
