A serious case was registered against Infosys co-founder Senapathy Kris Gopalakrishnan, the former IISc Director Balaram along with 16 others under the Prevention of SC/ST Atrocities Act on Monday.
The case was registered in the Sadashiva Nagar police station. The case was based on the directions of the 71st City Civil and Session Court (CCH). The complainant Durgappa belongs to the tribal community. He was also a faculty member at the Centre for Sustainable Technology at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc).
Durgappa claimed in 2014 that he had been falsely involved in the honey trap case and was subsequently dismissed from service. He also further alleged that he was subjected to abuse and threats. Many other individuals accused in this case included Govindan Rangarajan, Dasappa, Balaram P, Sridhar Warrier, Hari K V S, Sandhya Vishwswaraih, Chattopadhyay K, Pradeep D Sawkar, Hemalata Mhishi, and Manoharan. There was no immediate reaction from the IISe faculty or from Kris Gopalakrishnan. He also serves as a member of the IISe Board of Trustees.
