IRE: 96 (16)
IND: 97/2 (12.2)
India won by 8 wkts
Ireland Cricket Team Vs India National Cricket Team Match Scorecard clearly shows India has plenty of time to reach the 97-run target. They have literally suffered some setbacks as a result. The pitch was a minefield for the batsmen, with far too many deliveries spitting up a length.
After being struck several times, Rohit had to retire due to injuries to his right arm. Pant too got a lot of hits, but he was able to barely survive and finish it. Better pitches are necessary for a competition of this size, and the ones at this location thus far have been, to put it mildly, unimpressive.

8th Match, Group A – Live Cricket Score and Commentary
India played the crucial match against Pakistan on Sunday at this very location since they are struggling in this tournament. They will be happy that Rohit’s arm injury isn’t a serious one. Ireland, however, has another match here on Friday when they play Canada.
After being completely blown away today, they will be hoping for a much better performance. I hope the pitch at this location calms down in the future. I hope our coverage was enjoyable. Sagar Chawla is bidding farewell on behalf of Mukesh, Harish, Akshay Maanay, and Nikhil Jadhav until the next time.

Rohit Sharma India Captain Said
Yeah, just a little sore (the arm). I said it at the toss as well. Quite unsure of what to expect from the pitch. Not aware on what it is to play like on a pitch that’s five months old. I don’t think the wicket settled down even when we batted second. There was enough for the bowlers. That’s pretty much what you gotta do. Try to hit those lengths consistently. All these guys have played a lot of Test cricket. Arshdeep is the only guy who hasn’t. His two wickets upfront set the tone for us. Don’t think we can play four spinners here (laughs). When we picked the team, we wanted to have the balance. If conditions are there for seamers, we wanted to have that. Spin will play a part later on. Today was a four-seamer pitch and we still managed to get two spinners who are allrounders. I don’t know what to expect from the pitch to be honest. We will prepare as if the conditions are going to be like this (for Pakistan game). This is going to be a kind of game where all XI of us will need to contribute. It was scratchy, but good to spend some time in the middle and understand what kind of shots to play there.
Paul Stirling, The Ireland captain Said
Toss played a crucial part – stuck in to bat in overcast conditions. We needed to put a bit of pressure back on the Indian bowlers. They didn’t really miss that often. Their groupings and lengths were outstanding. Any time in the middle is crucial for us. We’ll be back here for a couple of days. Will give it a good crack against Canada.
In Summary
A few days ago, we had Sri Lanka knocked out for 77, and now we have this today. With Hardik grabbing a three-for and Bumrah, Arshdeep, and Siraj all taking wickets, Ireland was completely destroyed by the Indian seamers’ outstanding display. They feasted on the surface’s two-paced character, fluctuating bounce, and incredible movement. The presentations are about to begin.
