Born and reared in Barbados, Jacob Bethell soon joined Warwickshire’s youth divisions after winning a scholarship to Rugby School. At the beginning of 2021, he signed a contract with the club at the age of 17.
He was a spin-bowling all-rounder who helped balance a young team in the Royal London Cup and made his professional debut in the T20 Blast later that year.
