Horrific news coming from Sweden. A shooting happens on the outskirts of the Orebro city. The city is situated about 200 km west of Stockholm. Swedish police said about 10 people including the gunman were killed during the shooting on Tuesday at an adult education center. Still, now no final death toll and a conclusive number of wounded hadn’t been determined.
Roberto Eid Forest, head of the local police said The damages of the crime scene were so extensive that investigators were unable to be more definitive. According to the police report the death toll can rise. Police assume the perpetrator operated alone, and he wasn’t previously known to police, officials said. The authorities confirmed that there were no suspected links between this gunfire and terrorism but still police could not find the actual motive of the gunshot.
The school, called Campus Risbergska, helps students who are over age 20. They provide the course for the primary and upper secondary students. They also have classes for Swedish immigrants vocational training, and other educational programs for students with intellectual disabilities.
Gun violence at schools is rare in Sweden. In recent years many incidents have come forth where people were wounded or killed with other weapons like knives and axes. Police raided the suspect’s home after the Tuesday shooting. Eid Forest officials said there were no alarming signs before the attack not authorities were working to identify the deceased.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson will hold a media conference at 7:30 p.m. local time alongside Justice Minister Gunnar Strömmer and said
“a very painful day for all of Sweden,”

After a national exam, many students had gone home when the shooting started. As a helicopter flew overhead, police cars and ambulances covered the streets and parking spaces surrounding the school, their lights flashing.
Following the exam on Tuesday afternoon, teacher Lena Warenmark told SVT News that the number of pupils on campus was very low. Additionally, she informed the presenter that she likely heard ten gunshots.
Students sought refuge in adjacent structures. Following the shooting, which started at approximately 12:30 p.m. local time (1130 GMT), other areas of the school were evacuated.
