A cricket coach drugged and sexually abused a 12-year-old student in Kanpur. The suspected person abused the victim for two months before the girl confided her mother about the incident. The family filed a complaint at the Panki police station. The horrific incident took place when a 12-year-old girl learned the spot under his supervision in the Panki areas of Kanpur. The coach has been identified as a resident of Gangaganj and is absconding.
According to the police statement accused allegedly drew the girl to his colony after coaching classes and drugged her before sexually assaulting her.
The police officer also said that the suspect allegedly abused the victim for two months.
In addition, the lawsuit claims that the accused intimidated the girl by using caste-based slurs and blackmailing her with social exclusion.
Police are conducting raids to find the accused, according to Vijyendra Dwivedi, additional deputy commissioner of police (Addl. DCP). Who stated that a formal complaint had been filed against him under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (Pocso) Act, the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, and other pertinent sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
