Within just six months of defending the tech Anduril, they raised a massive $1.5 billion round that can value the company at $14 billion. It also talks to raise another $2.5 billion with a valuation of up to $28 billion.
Founders Fund, which is purportedly issuing a $1 billion check—its largest check ever—would, predictably, lead the transaction. Although Palmer Luckey, the founder of Anduril, is the company’s spokesperson, five men are listed as co-founders, including Trae Stephens, a partner in the Founders Fund. Since the beginning, Founders Fund has invested in Anduril, spearheading its seed round in 2017. It also co-led the fundraising for Anduril in 2024.
Anduril’s billion-dollar armaments mega factory in Ohio was partially funded by that earlier financing. The company’s revenue rose to $1 billion in 2024, according to sources who spoke to CNBC. Anduril declined to comment further.
