The shocking incident came to light after the police started investigating the basis of her mother’s missing complaint. They traced the girl living with her 16-year-old boyfriend in Cuddalore. The shocking incident took place when a 13-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the traffic constable in Chennai’s Mylapore area. The constable was identified as Raman. He has been arrested by the Police in connection with the matter. The matter came to light after the police acted based on her mother’s complaint and traced the girl.
After an inquiry, the girl revealed that her boyfriend had also sexually abused her on the excuse of marriage.
The girl had run from her family house on January 25. Went to live with her boyfriend in his home but his mother didn’t allow her in. She then had nowhere to go she started to sleep on the pavement in Mylapore where the traffic constable arrived and offered to drop her home. He then sexually abused her in the vehicle.
Later on, took her to the Police booth where he again sexually assaulted the minor girl. After that, she again went back to her boyfriend and eloped together to a relative’s house in Cuddalore. There her boyfriend allegedly raped her. The police have also detained the minor boy and her mother under the provisions of the Protection of Children from all kinds of sexual offenses ACT.
