Zoho CEO Sridhar Vembu endows IIT Madras Director Prof. V Kamakoti’s insistence on the medicinal component of cow urine or gomutra.

“This nation Bharat has profound wisdom the world is slowly coming to see.
As a civilization, we will holistically invent technology so that human life on this planet is in harmony with nature.
It is profound ignorance masquerading as the “rationalist” outlook that is using patterns of thought already being challenged in the West to attack our deep thinkers here.
We will fight this fight.”

“This nation will not be destroyed because of illiteracy. But intellectuals who are behaving worse than illiterates.”
What is the IIT Director’s statement about Gomutra?
IIT Madras Director V Kamakoti attended an event at a Go Samrakshana Sala on the day of Maatu Pongal in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. There he described an anecdote from the life of a sanyasi. An ascetic consumed ‘Gomutra’ when he had ha igh fever. He claimed after consumption of Gomutra he became perfectly fit.
He also added that Gomiyam has “anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, and digestive properties.”. He also claimed that cow urine is beneficial and cures many medical concerns like Irritable Bowel Syndrome. He also supported recognizing it for its “medicinal value.”
IIT Director’s statement instantly gained attention on social media, drawing reactions from several netizens. Congress leader Karti Chidambaram shared the live video of IIT Madras Director V Kamakoti in January 2018 to support the protection of the Indigenous cow breeds and organic farming.
Karti Chidambaram stated, “Peddling pseudoscience by @iitmadras Director is most unbecoming @IMAIndiaOrg.”
